IREDA’s consolidated profit before tax rose 70% quarter on quarter to ₹704 crore in Q2 FY2026-27, while net profit increased 63% to ₹552 crore. The sequential rebound was led by lower impairment charges, even as interest earned continued to grow; year-on-year profit was nearly flat and impairment was higher.
IREDA’s Q2 earnings recovered sharply from Q1 as impairment charges fell and interest earned continued to rise. But year-on-year net profit was almost unchanged, with impairment substantially higher than in Q2 FY2025-26, while loans and borrowings had both expanded. The contrast highlights the strength of the sequential recovery and the more modest year-on-year improvement.
